an excelent follow up after the New Jedi Order When beginning this book i didnt know what to expect after NJO i was a little concerned about how the expanded Universe would be changed. But my worries soon dissapeared, the book stays true to the saga.
Ok so it begins with jacen feeling a stong call in the force from an uknown being that is coming from the unkonwn regions. when he arrives he discovers that all the surviving membersfrom the Myrker mission were also called to the place.
If i tell any more i will be giving it all away however in the book luck finally begins to unravel the mystery of who his mother was. I would recomend this book to all starwars lovers from 12 and up.
Dark indeed, and powerfull I loved it. i only 4 stared it, because for a book to get 5* is rare.
Before i started it, i thought it would be another quick read, one that i would read and throw up onto the top shelf. Surprisingly, i ended up rereading parts as soon as i finished the first time. There is a lot of detail in this book, the main mystery is deep and foreboding, and it nicely ties in old storylines. What I liked the best, was the unleashing of more Jedi masters into a lot of combat. Saba, Mara, Luke all get serious. I love the way Jacen is being continuously developed and that the dark side is still very much alive and still very much in need of an opponent... Waiting for the next one to come in the mailGreat new series Just finished The Joiner King and they've finally got a good series started it looks like! This one kept me interested the whole way through. There were some things that I wasn't sure if i was going to like (i.e. Jaina) but by the end I really was interested in the series.
